Terms of Service
These terms describe how we work and what to expect when hiring Ground & Sky Films. They apply to quotes, productions and footage licensing.
Scope of services
We provide aerial and ground cinematography, aerial photography, hybrid coverage, location scouting, fixing for foreign productions and footage licensing. The exact scope of each job, including shooting days, deliverables and deadlines, is agreed in writing before production starts.
Quotes
Figures given in reply to an enquiry are estimates based on the information you provided. They are not a contract and may be adjusted if scope, dates, travel or operating conditions change. A quote is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
Intellectual property and licensing
Copyright in the images remains with Ground & Sky Films. What you hire is a licence to use them, whose scope, territory, term and media are specified in the quote or contract. Uses beyond the licence require fresh authorisation. Stock footage is licensed on the same case-by-case basis.
Drone operations
All aerial work follows Brazilian regulation, including ANAC rules and DECEA flight authorisations, plus mandatory insurance. Flights inside protected areas such as the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park require specific authorisation from the managing body. We request these in advance, but granting them is not within our control.
Weather and operating conditions
Aerial filming depends on wind, rain, visibility and tide. When conditions prevent operating safely or to the agreed standard, we reschedule the day to the first date that suits both sides, at no extra fee. Travel and accommodation costs already incurred are handled in the contract.
Limitation of liability
We are responsible for delivering the service as scoped. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or losses arising from factors outside our control, such as denied authorisation, weather, access restrictions or third-party failures. In any case, our liability is limited to the amount actually paid for the service in question.
Changes to these terms
This text may be revised as the service evolves. The version applying to a job is the one in force on the date the quote was accepted.
